What would the world be
Maarten Roef, CEO of Wavin, was nominated President of TEPPFA as of April 6, 2016. Who is this plastics enthusiast and what is his vision for TEPPFA and the plastic pipes and fittings industry?
Maarten Roef is a real insider in the plastics industry. His passion for plastics dates back from his first job at DSM, when he discovered the amazing capacities of plastics and the many shapes and forms plastics can take. ‘What would the world be without plastics?’ he wonders, as he points out what the weight would be of his mobile phone and car if it weren’t for plastics.
TEPPFA Forum 2016:
Celebrating 25 years of TEPPFA
Product Environmental Footprint
This year's TEPPFA Forum was a very special occasion as it marked the association's 25th anniversary. Held on the 4th & 5th April at the prestigious Steigenberger Hotel in Brussels, the packed agenda included top level presentations and panel debates on key issues for our industry with contributions from EU policymakers, including MEP's and senior European Commission officials.
TEPPFA, is committed to sustainability and strongly supports the elaboration of a common set of standards and rules to reach an European unique method to asses environmental sustainability of construction products. Currently the industry is going through the 3rd and final year of the pilot phase which was launched in 2013 together with The Product Environmental Footprint (PEF) Guide.
