The TEPPFA Executive Committee nominated Ramon Hoogerbeets (Wavin) as the new Chairman of the Application Group Civils. Ramon Hoogerbeets has been in various management positions in sales and marketing and works over 30 years for Wavin. In many of the positions he held, Ramon gained experience concerning the application of plastic pipe systems in Europe. His current position is Business Unit Director Foul Water and Stormwater Management. In this position, Ramon is responsible for the strategy, new product developments and European coordination of Wavin’s infrastructure systems.
As Chairman of the Application Group Civils, Mr. Hoogerbeets will focus on research and regulatory issues related to below ground drainage and sewer networks, stormwater management, road and land drainage and infiltration.
At the October Executive Meeting Dr. Maciej Kostanski announced that he would finally enjoy a well-deserved retirement as of the end of October. He passed on the torch to Piotr Falkowski. Piotr Falkowski has been appointed general manager of our Polish member PRiK and replaced Dr. Kostanski in the TEPPFA Executive Committee. More info about PRiK: www.prik.pl
In 2018 the PVC-O pipe expert for high pressure water pipelines, Molecor, joined TEPPFA as a new associated member. Molecor was founded in 2016 and gradually completed its PVC-O manufacturing technology provision with the production and product offering of high of pressure PVC-O pipes. The company is headquartered in Getafe, near Madrid with presence on all continents of the world. More info on www.molecor.com
In September 2019 the Irish Plastic Pipe Manufacturers Association applied for membership (IPPMA). The Executive Meeting that took place in October confirmed that IPPMA meets the conditions to become a member. It is anticipated that the TEPPFA GA 2019 will confirm its membership. IPPMA is a sectorial association within IBEC (Irish Business Enterprises Council), Ireland's largest lobby group representing Irish business both domestically and internationally. Federazione Gomma Plastica (Unionplast) in Italy informed us in September that they will leave TEPPFA as of 2019.
